Grandmaster Son Myung Soo receives Spirit of Taekwondo Award   

On September 15, 2018, the Ancient Warrior Society presented its highest award to Canada's Grandmaster Son Myung Soo, president of the Royal Taekwondo Federation, for his lifetime achievements in promoting Taekwondo throughout the world.  The trophy was presented by Grandmaster Bobby Kim, chairman of the Society's board of governors, and Society president Russ Johnson.  

Seventh Dan Promotion

On March 25, 2022, Grandmaster Steven Phillips, right, was promoted to 7th Dan by the American MooDukKwan Taekwondo Association. Presenting the rank certificate on behalf of Association President Grandmaster Bobby Kim was Grandmaster Russ Johnson, president of the Ancient Warrior Society.

Spirit of Taekwondo Award to Grandmaster Chang Lee 

May 30th, 2015.  Dallas, TX.   Society president Russ Johnson, far left, and Society board chairman Grandmaster Bobby Kim, far right, present The Ancient Warrior Society's highest honor to Grandmaster Chang Lee of Dallas, Texas.  The Spirit of Taekwondo Award can be given at the Board's discretion to a member for exceptional lifetime achievement.

   A founding member of the Society, Grandmaster Lee was hosting the highly successful Texas Elite Athletic Taekwondo Association Championships, one of the State's premier tournaments.
